Old black industrial lamps 1930ies “CALLIPTERIS”
Old black industrial lamps from the 1930s. We bought a total of 200 lamps (found in the attic of an old factory), some of which (60 pieces) are these lamps. The last picture in the gallery shows the old factory lamps as they were found. The lights have the classic two-part shape that was used to ventilate (cool) the lamps.
The old enamel lamps are made in Germany. What is special about these industrial lamps is that the head has a thread at the top. This made it possible to use a longer threaded tube so that the height of the socket (the bulb) can be continuously adjusted. So you can adjust & optimize the beam angle and thus the light cone. On request, we can also deliver the lamps in this version.
These beautiful factory lamps have the usual (sometimes strong) traces of the past decades such as chipping, rust spots, scratches, discoloration, etc. They have been restored: cleaned, preserved and re-electrified, with new E27 ceramic sockets.
Material: black (white inside) enameled sheet steel.
The dimensions: height of the lamps ca. 26 cm (without hanging loop), diameter ca. 41 cm.
The old industrial lamps are supplied with a 2 meter textile cable in the color of your choice (other lengths are of course possible) and a massive hanging eye for safe hanging. The lamps can also be supplied with chain or tubular steel suspension for an additional charge. We can also offer canopies.

Technical details:
Fitting: New porcelain bulb socket E27, suitable for all currently available bulbs (LED, energy-saving, halogen and traditional bulbs): Halogen and traditional bulbs with a maximum performance of up to 60 Watt may be used. Our recommendation for these lamps are LED bulbs, for example, with a carbon-filament look. The lamps are supplied without bulbs.
Cabling: Newly electrified, using quality textile cable, length 2 metres. Other lengths are available on request (at an additional charge).
Hanging mount: The lamps are provided with an eye, but no mount for hanging. Please make sure a suitable mount is used to hang the lamp. Lifting or mounting the lamps using the cable is not permitted. A chain hanger may also be provided at extra cost, this is galvanised, 2 metres long, with snaphooks top and bottom, and without canopy.
How to use: The lamps are suitable only for indoor use. Please use the closed lamps with LED bulbs.
